Progressive Midwestern Senate Campaign Seeks Deputy Finance Director
Admiral Michael Franken (Ret.) is seeking a Deputy Finance Director for the 2020 cycle with opportunity for an expanded portfolio. This position would be a great opportunity for someone looking for statewide experience in a senior level role.
Responsibilities
- Oversee national fundraising events
- Training staff and interns to manage candidate call time, prepare lists and donor research, and ensure databases are up to date.
- Organize and create timeline for upcoming events, draft invitations, thank you notes, and ensure they are sent in a timely fashion.
- Oversee planning of finance trips and events.
- Assist with other elements of the campaign as needed.
This is a paid, full-time position. The applicant is expected to work a typical campaign schedule that can be long and inconsistent. The campaign is headquartered in the Sioux City, Iowa. Candidates must be willing to relocate. Access to a laptop and a car required.
Competitive salary ($54,000-60,000) and health care stipend provided.

- At least 2 cycles in a finance role
- Has an interest and passion for Democratic politics and candidates.
- Self-starter who is able to manage their own schedule and daily tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.
- Able to work in a fast-paced political environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Willingness to work long hours and weekends on a regular basis.
- Experience managing Call Time preferred.
- Required Travel: 25-50%
