Petition Campaign Director - OR

360 Campaign Consulting is hiring a bunch of Petition Directors to qualify an initiative for the 2020 ballot on fair drug law reform in Oregon. I'm looking for hotshot canvass directors and organizers who can build a huge petitioning team quickly.

General Overview: 360 Campaign Consulting is a political consulting firm specializing in ballot initiative campaigns. We partner with good groups doing great things. We are excited to work with the Psilocybin Service Initiative of Oregon campaign in its effort to decriminalize the use of psilocybin as a therapeutic method for treating PTSD, addiction, depression, and other serious medical issues that affect millions of Americans.


The Petition Director will recruit, train, and manage a team of local petitioners to collect signatures from registered OR voters in public spaces. Additionally, the Petition Director will manage a team of one or more deputy directors to hit weekly and monthly petition and recruitment goals.


Location: Portland and Eugene, OR


Duration: This is a temporary position, starting ASAP and concluding mid-April.

 

Canvass Management Responsibilities:

  • Recruit members of the community to work as petitioners to collect valid signatures

  • Manage a team of 30-60 petitioners, including driving goals

  • Build a petitioning location database and coordinate petitioning sites for your staff

  • Train petitioners on messaging and collecting valid signatures per state requirements

  • Petition several days per week to train staff and meet goals

  • Administrative duties, including working with HR Director on payroll

  • Qualify our initiative for the ballot in 2020!


Qualifications:

  • Experience in petitioning/canvassing

  • Leadership experience

  • Self-starter and excellent problem solving skills

  • Excitement for organizing individuals in a progressive community

  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

  • Great attention to detail and a desire to instill that quality in others

  • Dedication to delivering quality, legible voter signatures to the Secretary of State


Salary: The salary for this position is competitive and depends on experience. At the end of the campaign, there may be opportunities for advancement and bonuses.
