COMPETE is a full-service Digital agency that strives to get maximum impact out of Digital budgets for Progressive and big D Democratic campaigns, public affairs groups, coordinated committees, and other aligned entities. We strive to be a strategic partner for our clients and offer a full range of Digital services that these organizations need support on.

About this position

Expectations for this position:

  • You must be self-driven: Our company is remote, meaning you'll be working from home with occasional optional travel (optional team meetups and/or client visits). So we need people who are self-motivated, excellent at time management, tech-savvy, resourceful, adaptable, and accountable.

  • Open communication is key: Our clients trust us to translate their needs into action. In order to do this, there is a high level of collaboration with both clients and their stakeholders, as well as our internal teams.

  • Empathy is necessary: In order to provide solutions that work for the client, you'll have to dig deep into what problems they're trying to solve and give recommendations and guidance on digital marketing best practices. Part of being Poli-Digi experts is understanding our clients' point of view and demonstrating both empathy and expertise that helps them achieve their goals.

  • Detail-oriented work: Making sure that items are aligned, establishing clear action plans, and providing transparent and concise reporting are all extremely important. We aim to be the best digital marketing agency in the Poli-Digi space, and we can only do that if we ensure quality—even if that means catching mistakes from items provided by the client.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2+ years of either Digital marketing experience working in either the Paid Digital or Design discipline

  • 1-2+ years of Political campaign work experience where you've had significant exposure to paid Digital, campaign design, and/or email campaigns

  • Ability to focus on the big picture as well as the nitty-gritty details of a project

  • Excellent time management, written & verbal communication, and organization skills

  • Independent worker, but know when to get feedback or thoughts when running into issues. You aren't afraid of constructive criticism

  • Out-of-the-box thinker—you aren't afraid to fail or try new ideas that you haven't tried before

  • Able to work remotely—we communicate via Gmail, Asana, Slack, Harvest, and Zoom

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (especially in regards to Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), Sketch and/or Figma

  • Some experience with a Video editing software like Final Cut Pro or Adobe Illustrator

Preferred, but not necessary for the right applicant:

  • Has worked remotely before

  • Willing to start in a part-time 20 hour/week role that will grow into a full-time job as we grow and head into the busier 2020 season

  • Experience with any of the following Paid Digital platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google Ads, Google Analytics, LinkedIn, Microsoft Advertising, or DSPs

  • Experience managing email campaigns

  • Proficiency with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel

Candidates with both Digital marketing and Political campaign experience are highly encouraged to apply.

We are an equal opportunity employer. Women and people of color are strongly encouraged to apply.
