Nancy Goroff for Congress is seeking a full-time Field Director to join a dynamic and growing team in one of the top House challenger races of the 2020 cycle. Nancy is already one of the top fundraisers of the cycle with a team and strategy ready to flip this seat from Red to Blue.
Responsibilities:
Design and execute full field plan in consultation with senior campaign team and candidate
Manage petitioning effort to get on the ballot
Work with local volunteers and create a robust volunteer program; manage volunteers' time, goals, and engagement
Hire, train, deploy, and oversee multiple Field Organizers
Set and manage field budget in consultation with the campaign manager
Run a data-driven, targeted program that integrates into broader campaign goals and strategies
Serve as a senior member of the campaign team, participating in broader strategic discussions and participating in senior operations
Qualifications:
Multiple campaign cycles of field experience, including at least one cycle overseeing and executing a large volunteer-driven field program
Experience directing a robust, multilevel staff
Excellent verbal and written skills
Fluency with VAN required
Access to reliable transportation required
About the Candidate: Nancy has lived in Stony Brook, NY, for over two decades, raising her daughters here and teaching at Stony Brook University. At the university, she has served as Associate Provost, Interim Dean of the Graduate School, and most recently Chair of the Chemistry Department. If elected, she would be the first female science Ph.D. to serve in Congress.
