Finance Director Job Description
Overview:
In the 2018 midterms, Jason Crow beat 5-term Republican incumbent Mike Coffman by 11%, winning a seat that no Democrat had ever held since its creation. Colorado's 6th congressional district is considered to be the state's only swing district and is a targeted race for both Republicans and Democrats. Congressman Crow is seeking reelection to continue representing Colorado's CD6 in Congress.
Responsibilities:
The Finance Director is responsible for developing and executing the fundraising plan for Crow for Congress 2020. This includes but is not limited to:
Manage call time and other activities to hit fundraising goals and deadlines
Manage and collaborate with relevant consultants and committees
Supervise the finance team, build an internship program, and manage volunteers
Track day-to-day fundraising and disbursements, and work with compliance staff to ensure accurate FEC reporting
Facilitate all donor correspondence and follow up on pledges
Provide regular finance reports
Maintain records of all relevant activity in databases like NGP and ActBlue
Oversee donor prospecting and research, and expand the candidate's donor networks
Help manage the campaign's fellowship program
Assist with other tasks as necessary
Qualifications:
Multiple cycles of finance experience, preferably in Colorado
Excellent verbal and written skills
Strong knowledge of NGP, ActBlue, and Microsoft Office
Willingness to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience, the target window is $5,000-$6000 monthly.
