The Organization:
2020 Campaign Services, INC was established by Presidential campaign alumni to build organization in battleground states. We help progressive organizations build community based, volunteer driven campaigns. The company is focused on providing clients with turn-key logistics to get a quality voter contact program off the ground quickly and efficiently. The main services that we provide our clients include research, hard data products, full service operations support for staff and offices, accountability mechanisms and staff training.
National Political Director Description:
The National Political Director Director will work to build a coalition of progressive organizations, labor unions, elected officials, and community groups to grow electoral organizational capacity in key battleground states for the general election campaign. The Political Director will report to the Campaign Director and will focus on managing relationships at the national level which support our work at the state level.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as liaison to the national political community
- Manage relationships with campaign partner organizations, national progressive organizations and key stakeholders
- Work with campaign partner organizations to advance our shared goals of building state-based organization in advance of the general election
- Identify strategic opportunities to collaborate and support partner organization programs
- Provide political support as needed to state-based staff particularly as new national partners come on board and can engage their own state-based affiliates
- Provide briefings and updates on state-based activities to national partners and key stakeholders
Experience & Qualifications:
- 5-7 years campaign experience with state and national organizations and officials
- Experience working in a diverse coalition with local, state-based, and national organizations
- Experience building relationships with key stakeholders including elected officials, labor, and progressive organizations
- Federal electoral (preferably presidential) experience as well as 501(c)(4) work, with a strong understanding of legal requirements and restrictions
- Experience and comfort with working with a diverse set of constituencies in a diverse set of geographies
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight timelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and sense of humor
