and blue states.

To grow our impact, The Fairness Project seeks a Senior Communications Specialist to help grow our national brand through earned media and support our campaigns with their earned media.

On a typical day, you will likely reach out to the national press to pitch our work, draft op-eds, and consult with local campaigns on their press outreach.

• An understanding of successful strategies and messaging concepts in the context of a multistate campaign environment;

• An entrepreneurial and creative mindset to develop ideas that generate media coverage and define core campaign issues; and

• Excellent oral communication skills.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer and loves to learn, improvise, experiment, and define the cutting-edge; is wildly curious and studies and "steals" best practices from campaigns, organizations and corporations; enjoys the thrill of advocacy or campaign work; and is passionate about improving people's lives by fighting against economic inequality in America.
