GetThru is hiring a Sales Associate to play a crucial role on our small but mighty sales team in the 2020 election year. This person will focus on expanding the reach of our best-in-class P2P texting and phone calling tools among Democratic and progressive political campaigns, political parties, PACs, ballot measures, political consultants, advocacy groups, and more. The position will report to the VP of Sales, and offers salary plus bonus, profit-sharing, and competitive benefits. Note that this is a contract position running through November 30, 2020. 


Responsibilities

As a Sales Associate you will:

  • Lead product demos

  • Manage and conduct research and outreach via email, phone, and text to prospective clients

  • Attend conferences for networking, presenting with client partners, and to staff exhibition booths approximately once a month

  • Support clients in setup and implementation of GetThru tools

Qualifications 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Experience with software sales

  • A demonstrated passion and involvement in progressive politics, especially in voter contact and field organizing

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with phone, screen-share, and in-person presentations

  • Experience or openness to working remotely

  • Ability to travel occasionally

Location 

GetThru is a remote company with employees spread out across the country. 


Compensation

  • $60K - $70K base annual salary equivalent, depending on experience. As a contract position, this salary will be pro-rated based on start and end-dates. 

  • Additional compensation from bonuses and participation in profit-sharing pool

  • 401K + employer match

  • 3 weeks of vacation time in year 1 and 2, with increases thereafter

GetThru operates a peer-to-peer text messaging platform (ThruText) and telephone dialing tool (ThruTalk) that political campaigns and other organizations use for large scale 1-to-1 communication. GetThru has worked with more than 1,000 clients who have sent over 250 million text messages and made more than 60 million calls through our tools. GetThru was launched in 2016 by veterans of the Bernie Sanders distributed organizing team to improve on the tools we used running voter contact programs, and we're most excited about helping progressive politicians and organizations. We also believe in building a sustainable business, so we are actively expanding into other markets that could benefit from this technology, including working with more than 200 educational institutions. We have been profitable from day one without VC funding.
