The Warren For President Campaign is hiring a senior-level HR professional to specialize in employee relations to help ensure the Warren for President team is supported in their work across the country to secure Elizabeth Warren the Democratic nomination for President. 

As a member of HQ's larger Operations team, this position will work closely with the Director of Human Resources, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and other HR team members to ensure that staff from across the country are handled with care, as needed, through a timely, organized, and supportive process. They will perform a variety of duties to promote employee welfare, such as resolving human relations problems; interviewing workers to discuss personnel, human relations, and work-related problems that adversely affect morale, health, and productivity; and  promoting employee health and well-being.  

This position will be based in the campaign headquarters in Boston, MA and will require travel.

In this position you will: 

  • Evaluate and resolve human relations, labor relations, and work-related problems and travel to staff offices to provide on-site support and guidance, as needed
  • Meet with management to determine appropriate action and prepare reports to communicate information about employee concerns and comments and organizational actions taken
  • Explain and provide advice to workers about company and governmental rules, regulations, and procedures, and need for compliance.
  • Explain company compensation and benefit programs, such as medical, insurance, retirement, and savings plans, and enrolls workers in specified programs
  • Develop, schedule, and conduct technical, management, and interpersonal skills training to improve employee performance
  • Serve as employee-management liaison to facilitate communication between parties
  • Counsel employees regarding work, family, or personal problems
  • Back-up to executing reports and enters and updates medical, insurance, retirement, and other personnel forms and records
  • Audits benefit accounts and examines records to ensure compliance with standards and regulations

Top things we're looking for:

  • Significant years of experience in HR in mid-sized to large organizations, with a focus on employee and/or labor relations
  • Significant experience with benefits administration, performance management systems, and compliance issues
  • Creative problem solving abilities, strong written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to lead and work from a place of empathy
  • Strong commitment to Democratic politics and ideals and enthusiasm for electing Elizabeth Warren
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, on-call environment. Candidates must be self-motivated and willing to work long hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
