At Break Something our clients are using digital media to change the world and we are looking for an Email Director to help lead a team of strategists.
Our ideal candidate is an experienced manager who is an excellent, experienced writer and editor who has run email programs for political candidates, PACs, and nonprofits.
This person will be responsible for guiding overall strategy and implementation of fundraising or engagement programs and should feel these things are second-nature. The individual will also drive firm-wide best practices and will be a liaison between email, advertising, and data departments at Break Something.
This position requires a high degree of organization, time management, motivation, attention to detail, and an ability to pivot toward competing priorities. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and strategic collaboration skills are a must.
Responsibilities
- Running internal meetings, leading teams, and helping drive new best practices that balance creativity with hard data
- Editing across clients and ensuring high standards across all clients
- Ensuring new company wide experiments are taking place and using new data and innovations to implement changes and new tactics across campaigns
- Occasional client work.
Requirements
- 6+ years of digital experience minimum
- Experience leading teams for a reasonable-size campaign or organization
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), including writing, planning, and executing tests and report results for online campaigns
- Experience leading a team running direct response advertising programs with a focus on donations and email acquisition.
- Proven results managing CRMs like Blue State Digital, NGP, ActBlue, and ActionKit.
- Experience leading social media campaigns, and managing integrations between digital and field strong preferred
Benefits
The salary range for this position is $80k-$90k annually.
