Democratic political media firm seeking an executive assistant available immediately to work from their own home or office. Competitive salary and excellent health benefits offered.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

A Democratic political media firm is seeking an executive assistant to the President. The firm provides strategic campaign consulting and produces television and radio advertising for a variety of national campaigns and causes.

 

This position, in addition to managing the President's calendar and schedule, includes reading and tracking all related campaign material such as polling, research, memos, and scripts for TV and radio.

 

The primary job of the executive assistant is to make sure the trains are running on time, however, there is a potential for growth depending on the interest and long-term goals of the applicant.

 

Though not a requirement of the job, responsibilities could expand to include memo writing, research, poll review, and assistance in script writing.

 

This job would appeal to a details-oriented, independent worker with a strong interest in Democratic politics and learning how campaign media is developed.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Coordinating and updating President's schedule, including all meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements.

·         Reading campaign material and preparing synopsis for President before conference calls or meetings as required and provide updates as needed.

·         Participating in conference calls to take notes and provide synopsis of call for President.

·         Maintaining and managing President's email to track all campaign polling, research documents, internal memos, and scripts for television and radio ads.

·         Review and log campaign materials received and compile relevant press clips each morning.

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

·         Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and online research.

·         Knowledge of LexisNexis, Dropbox, Box, Google Suite, and Wickr is a plus.

·         Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and strong verbal/written communicator

·         Ability to multitask and work under pressure

·         Discretion when dealing with confidential information

 

SALARY: Salary commensurate with experience.

 

BENEFITS: Excellent health benefits provided.

 

LOCATION: Greater Philadelphia region is preferred, but not a requirement.

 

START DATE: Immediately.
