Organizing Together 2020 is seeking a Wisconsin Deputy Operations Director to join our growing team! This role will report to the State Operations Director and will manage components of operations within Wisconsin including HR, financial budgeting, office leases, and purchasing.

Responsibilities

    • Work with the operations team in the building, scaling and managing of all logistical, operational and administrative aspects of the state program
    • Work closely with the State Operations Director to diagnose cross-departmental issues and implement solutions accordingly
    • Collaborate with national operations team to execute efficient workflows between the state and  IT, HR, Finance and Legal
    • Aid State Operations Director with budget estimates and pricing
    • Establish local vendor relationships using national operations' protocols
    • Implement and uphold statewide procurement processes
    • Liaise between different state teams to ensure  expense requests are submitted through appropriate channels to ensure compliance
    • Act as a local HR resource and liaison to ensure employee needs and concerns are surfaced and escalated appropriately, and all training needs starting with the employee on-boarding process are met
    • Supports organizing team in establishing new office locations (lease review, initial rent payment, security deposits, utility set up)
    • Implement standards and processes to create welcoming physical offices
    • Execute processes to ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal workforce requirements
    • Supports organizing staff outside of HQ with supply requests and regional office needs

Requirements

    • 1-3 years of experience on political campaigns or in an operations role at another type of company or organization
    • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to work in a high pressure environment, and meet tight timelines. 
    • Practice managing multiple competing priorities at the same time
    • Experience in human resources or administrative support preferred
    • Maintain high levels of confidentiality
    • Familiarity with bookkeeping and budgeting preferred
    • Intermediate Excel skills
    • Experience with platforms like Lever, Smartsheets, and Google Suite preferred
    • Dedicated to working for Democratic candidates and causes
