A Long Island Democratic campaign is hiring a Field Director to run an aggressive, grassroots field program for a competitive primary in a flippable Congressional district. We are looking for a passionate, hardworking individual dedicated to electing Democrats in one of New York's premiere races.
Role Overview
The Field Director will work with the Campaign Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive Field Plan focused on aggressive grassroots organizing. The Field Director will hire and manage a team of Organizers who will be on the front lines of the campaign interfacing directly with voters and volunteers. The Field Director should be detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and willing to work long hours. At least two cycles of field experience required. Prior management experience prefered. The Field Director will report to the Campaign Manager.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Field Director responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
Developing a comprehensive Field Plan, including Voter Registration and GOTV plans
Hiring, training, and managing a team of Organizers
Working with community stakeholders and elected officials to create successful community events for the candidate
Helping to create an inclusive and welcoming work culture that is representative of the candidate and the district
Required Skills & Background
Exceptionally well organized with the ability to meet strict deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Two cycles of field experience required
Prior management experience prefered
Must have access to a vehicle and a cellphone ·

Field Organizers will work with the Field Director to implement a comprehensive Field Plan focused on aggressive grassroots organizing. Field Organizers will be on the front lines of the campaign interfacing directly with voters and volunteers. Field Organizers should be detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and willing to work long hours. A strong work ethic and willingness to learn are required. Prior experience with VoteBuilder is preferred. Field Organizers will report to the Field Director.

Assisting the Field Director in the implementation of the field plan.
Recruiting, training, and managing teams of volunteers.
Working with volunteers and community stakeholders to run successful direct voter contact events.
Executing the campaign's Get Out the Vote plan.
Helping to create an inclusive and welcoming work culture that is representative of the campaign.
