The Tanya Ortiz Franklin Campaign for LAUSD, District 7, is seeking a motivated Campaign Manager. LAUSD District 7 is a large, diverse district in the largest elected school board district in the country. Applicants should have a strong desire to contribute to educational equity in our country's education system. The Campaign Manager will be responsible for all day-to-day aspects of campaign operations.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate all day-to-day campaign functions
Manage candidate schedule
Draft and send campaign blast emails
Draft and post social media posts
Coordinate fundraising with the finance consultant
Assist in candidate call time
Donor research
Coordinate fundraisers
Assist in the development of overall campaign plan
Manage the consultant team and the approval process for paid media
Build and execute a robust field plan
Recruit and manage volunteers
Organize walk and phone lists and coordinate door-to-door activities
Other duties as needed
Qualifications:
Two cycles of political campaign work preferred, one cycle minimum
Applicants should be extremely organized and have ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams
Must be able to work full time (40+ hours per week)
Excellent written and verbal skills
Strong voter and fundraising database experience preferred
Spanish fluency preferred
Goal-oriented, hard-working, team player is a must
Must live or relocate to Los Angeles
