Red Cypress's portfolio is split between local and national/international projects and uses a business model that acknowledges the disparity in resources between local and non-local groups and uses tiered pricing to subsidize providing cutting edge digital and communications support to groups in Louisiana that otherwise would not be able to afford it.
Job Description
Job type: Contract (6 months)
Compensation: $50 - $70/hour, depending on experience
Red Cypress seeks a database management contractor to support a cohort of base building organizations in adopting EveryAction as their organizing database. The contractor will work hands-on to set strategy with these organizations, to configure their databases and to migrate their data. Qualified applicants should have some experience with EveryAction and with running successful data migrations.
Responsibilities will include:
Working closely with other Red Cypress team members and with clients to identify how data-driven organizing and advocacy can best support clients' work
Developing data migration project plans
Working with clients to identify workflows in EveryAction and other tools that support their organizing and advocacy activities and methodologies
Assessing, cleaning, mapping and migrating data
Configuring EveryAction instances, including user profiles, templates, forms, data structures, reports, activist codes, etc.
Developing and executing trainings for clients on use of EveryAction and other tools
Developing documentation on customizations and recommended uses of EveryAction and other tools
Working with Red Cypress team members to manage budgets and client relationships
Required qualifications:
Deep familiarity with the VAN and/or EveryAction
Experience managing data migration processes
Comfort manipulating and cleaning data
Understanding of community and/or political organizing
Commitment to progressive values
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to work independently and self-direct
Strong communication skills
Desired qualifications:
Spanish language fluency
Experience with other organizing technology, including but not limited to Hustle, Strive, OutVote, Salesforce and ActBlue
