HIT Strategies is a small but rapidly-growing polling, messaging, and strategy firm that uses innovative research methods to understand, communicate with, and mobilize some of the hardest to reach communities in society. Women, LGBTQ, millennials (+ gen-z), and Nonwhite voters are irreversibly shifting voting and consumer patterns in America. HIT Strategies is seeking a summer intern to work and learn in the fast-paced environment of qualitative and quantitative research. We work closely with political organizations and candidates so interest in electoral politics is preferred. Due to the COVID 19 crisis, the location for this internship is flexible.
Intern Responsibilities
Drafting tweets, e-blasts, and other digital storytelling correspondence
Conduct research of potential clients to prepare Partners for pitching and meetings
Tracking news and public polling to provide weekly and/or daily news briefings
Conduct other projects or tasks as necessary to assist the team
Desired Qualifications
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work with others efficiently in a high pace environment
Possession of a cell phone, Microsoft Office, webcam, and laptop.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office – especially Excel and PowerPoint
Understanding of various social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram
Interest in electoral politics, and minority engagement
Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science or similar degree preferred
Campaign experience preferred
Interns will be expected to work 20 hours per week and will be compensated $1500/mo
