ONLINE FUNDRAISING STRATEGIST
Gary Peters for Michigan is hiring an Online Fundraising Strategist to join the campaign (in metro Detroit, Michigan -- currently remote position). This is a full-time, paid position, perfect for someone ready to grow their digital skills in a fast-paced campaign environment. You will report to the Online Fundraising Director. Salary commensurate with experience.
About You:
Dedicated to Democratic politics and ready to help reelect Gary Peters to the U.S. Senate.
Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle more than one project at once is a must, along with strong written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to work with a team under tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment that will include work on night and weekends.
Enthusiasm for using said online tools to reach people where they are and expand the reach and message of the campaign.
Responsibilities:
Assist with executing and writing online fundraising copy for email, ads, and SMS.
Primary writer and producer for the Peters for Michigan online fundraising verticals.
Write engaging, strategic, and compelling copy for online advertising, email marketing, and mass SMS.
Ideate, brainstorm, and raise the bar with our digital marketing strategy.
Help the Online Fundraising Director strategize calendar, rapid response moments, and program.
Help oversee our mobilization efforts over email, SMS and ads.
Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience in digital communications for an electoral campaign, advocacy organization or non-profit
Experience with ActBlue and a CRM (preferably Blue State Digital)
Technical knowledge includes HTML & CSS
Exceptional writing skills with strong attention to accuracy and detail
Excited about compelling content on the internet -- you have strong feelings about your favorite daisy chains and upsell pages
Strong attention to detail; Eagle eyes while coding and checklisting
Familiar with email marketing best practices
Plain text emails matter (sometimes)
