2020 Field Organizer Opportunity for Michigan's 11th Congressional District
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruit, retain, and train volunteers for persuasive phone banking and canvassing. Personally execute voter contact to meet campaign goals.
Build and maintain relationships with district allies and local activists through 1:1 meetings and neighborhood meetings.
Execute an ambitious Get-Out-The-Vote program via phone, text, and door-to-door.
Compile and analyze voter responses using VAN to produce daily and weekly reports. Use data to track progress toward campaign goals.
Prepare and execute programming and events that accomplish campaign goals.
Manage interns and fellows according to campaign priorities.
Fulfill other campaign duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Commitment to the election of Democrats up and down the ballot.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivation, the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends. Availability through November 2020 preferred.
Adaptable to changing needs and program priorities. Meets tight deadlines under pressure.
Campaign experience as an organizer, intern, fellow, or volunteer preferred.
Must be able to secure transportation to and from your assigned shifts.
Knowledge of Voter Activation Network (VAN) is beneficial but not required.
Positive Attitude Required.
