Operations Director
The Iowa Democratic Party is seeking an Operations Director to join the statewide coordinated campaign. The Operations Director will work with senior leadership to manage critical campaign systems such as hiring, tech inventory and supply orders, and internal scheduling.
This is a election cycle position through November 15, 2020 and will report to the Coordinated Campaign Director
Responsibilities Include:
● Manage the day-to-day logistics and administration for the coordinated campaign by managing multiple operations projects including supplies, supporter housing, offices, equipment, and others
● Address operations issues and needs from campaign staff in a timely manner
● Develop and implement long term strategies relating to campaign operations
● Help manage scheduling and partner relationships
● Facilitate logistics-heavy interdepartmental projects
Skills and Qualifications:
● At least one cycle of campaign experience required
● Once cycle of organizing experience preferred
● Exceptionally well organized with intense attention to detail
● Strong time management skills
● Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with people from many backgrounds
● Flexible, adaptable and solutions-oriented
● Ability to take initiative and meet tight deadlines under pressure
● Knowledge of Google suite tools
● Ability to work long and irregular hours in a fast paced, metrics-driven work environment
● Commitment to electing all Democrats on the ballot
