Position Description:

We are seeking a Field Director to manage all aspects of the campaign's direct voter engagement. The Field Director will be responsible for day to day field operations including managing field staff, overseeing data and reporting to meet voter contact goals, managing the campaigns phone, canvass and text programs, and building a diverse, volunteer-driven field team.
Location: Washington, DC
Compensation: $1,200/week
Timeline: Early July-November 15, 2020
Reports To: Campaign Manager
Responsibilities:
Hire, train, and manage field team including Field Organizers and distributed organizing teams, leading campaigns direct voter engagement
Manage all aspects of the field program including training, canvassing, phone banks, and volunteer recruitment
Oversee campaigns persuasion and turnout text programs
Build target voter universes to identify and turnout ID'd voters
Manage data and reporting of field efforts to track daily/weekly and campaign-wide voter contact goals
Develop and execute effective field plans for persuasion, absentee ballot chase and GOTV
Qualifications:
Commitment to racial, social, and economic justice
Good understanding of voter targeting
Two cycles of field experience preferred
Experience recruiting, hiring, training and managing staff
Proficiency in VAN
Strong volunteer management experience
Previous experience as a Field Organizer, Regional Field Director or Field Director
Access to reliable transportation preferred
Other duties as needed
