To advance this work, Break Something needs a digital advertising manager to help run the most innovative digital paid media campaigns in Democratic politics. This full-time position is based in Washington DC but will be remote through 2020.
Break Something is seeking an exceptional digital practitioner who will assist in the development of a talented team of advertising strategists in addition to executing high quality programs of various budgets on Facebook, Google, Programmatic, and other platforms. Our goal is to reach our target audiences through high-quality inventory at the most efficient prices for campaigns that grow client's lists, build successful fundraising programs, and persuade and turnout voters.
The candidate will gain incredible experience in digital political strategy during a very important election cycle.
Responsibilities
- The Digital Advertising Manager will act as the project manager for assigned clients, owning the client relationship from top to bottom, this includes but is not limited to the processes and outcomes for creating advertising content and messaging, developing media plans and targeting, and reporting.
- Measures and reports performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assesses against goals for assigned clients.
- Identifies trends and insights, and optimizes spend and performance based on the insights.
- Manages a team of advertising strategists working on an assigned set of clients, diving into the day-to-day operations while providing overarching strategic guidance and creative direction so all digital programs are operating successfully.
- Works closely with the data team to ensure that all advertising data is accurate and all sourcing requirements are met.
- Develop the expertise of strategists by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities. Focus includes but is not limited to planning, reporting, and buying media via social and programmatic channels.
- Assists in the financial reconciliation of advertising programs, working collaboratively with the accounting and partners
- Manages quality assurance by strategists to ensure creative implementation is in line with established goals/parameters and that strategists are able to complete assigned tasks in platforms
- Ensures client invoices are going out accurately and in a timely manner, and that media plans match what has been invoiced
- Assist in the maintenance of digital advertising staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Utilizes advertising expertise to ensure Break Something is constantly running smart, creative digital programs that exceed our clients goals.
Requirements
- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and meet identified KPIs.
- Creating and maintaining client relationships
- Management experience
- Self-motivated and client focused
- Mastery of Google Ads, Campaign Manager, Trade Desk, Facebook Business Manager, and other managed service vendors
- Proficient in marketing research and statistical analysis
- Able to develop budgets
- Familiar with financial planning and strategy
Benefits
The salary range for this position is $70-$80k annually plus benefits and a generous end of cycle bonus.
