About Florida Watch: We are a progressive communications and research hub with a digital first lens. We are driven by quantitative and qualitative research that is used to create engaging and Florida specific digital content. We want to meet people where they are in real life – which is on their phones and computers.

Qualifications:
  • Excellent persuasive writing skills  
  • At least 1-2 years experience of digital organizing with a political campaign or nonprofit organization  
  • Ability to manage multiple projects within the organization as well as with state and national partners.
  • Experience with common graphic design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Knowledge of or experience with CRM tools like EveryAction, ActionKit, or Action Network a plus.
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS is a plus
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus 
Responsibilities:
  • Produces persuasive, emotionally evocative content designed to build greater civic engagement among everyday Floridians
  • Drafts blast and targeted email content encouraging people to take action on major issues or to hold elected officials accountable
  • Publishes landing pages for email actions or paid ad campaigns
  • Creates graphics to be used in email campaigns, paid ad creatives, and associated website landing pages
  • Produces social media content that corresponds to email or paid ad campaigns
Compensation: $50,000-$60,000 annually, commensurate with experience. We also offer a 401k with up to a 5% match, health insurance, flexible work environment and paid time off. This is a permanent position with retention based on performance in the 2020 cycle.
