This fall semester internship is designed for young people in North Carolina who want to
advance the mission and work of North Carolina Asian Americans Together (NCAAT) through digital organizing while developing their own skills and experience within a nonprofit organization. The intern will work closely with a personal supervisor and with NCAAT staff to assist with NCAAT projects and develop their own work plan.
Dates: 9/1/2020- 11/27/2020
Seeking:
- Enthusiastic young people ages 16 and up who want to develop personally and professionally
- Young people who want to advance the mission of NCAAT
- Those who want to better understand Asian American identity and its implications for organizing and leadership
Internship Components:
- Spend 12 weeks total as an NCAAT intern
- Work with a supervisor to create and manage a personal work plan
- Complete and submit education and reflection assignments
- Get trained in RVP via Empower App
- Attend 2-3 of NCAAT's virtual programs through the duration of the internship
- Help craft and implement a social media plan for NCAAT youth on various social media platforms
- Attend enrichment webinars from national partner organizations on behalf of NCAAT
