Mobilization Director
The Iowa Mobilization Director will be responsible for creating and implementing a digital mobilization program that will feature a highly-watched, targeted U.S. Senate race to defeat Joni Ernst, four competitive congressional races, opportunities to flip control in the Iowa legislature, and elect Democrats at the local level in all of Iowa's 99 counties. This is a general election position through November 15, 2020 and reports to the Coordinated Campaign Director.
Salary Range $6,000 - $7,000
Responsibilities Include:
● Hire and manage a team of digital mobilization staff
● Design and develop systems and best practices for supporting and training staff and volunteers on digital tools remotely
● Work closely with the Organizing Director and Voter Contact Director on shaping digital mobilization strategy and setting strategic goals
● Establish metrics and goals for the digital mobilization team; track progress to goal, monitor success of the program, and coach the team to meet goals
● Communicate clear priorities, needs, and expectations up and down the chain
Minimum Qualifications:
● One to two cycles of digital organizing experience, including at least one cycle of staff management
● Ability to hire and manage diverse staff and volunteers remotely
● Comfort in a rapidly changing and fast-paced work environment while keeping attention to detail and being solutions oriented
● Ability to problem solve effectively and creatively within tight deadlines
● High level of comfort with using digital organizing tools to support organizing, including P2P SMS, MobilizeAmerica, and relational platforms
● Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
