Full Job Description

CASE Action, a progressive 501(c)(4) nonprofit, is working to elect Joe Biden, Mark Kelly, and progressive state legislators down ballot to advance workers' and immigrant rights.  Arizona is a must-win for Democrats, and CASE is doing the groundwork to turn out voters and win this November. Right now we are hiring canvassers (door-knockers) who are politically engaged and organized, but applicants do not have to have prior campaign experience to apply.  If you are interested, please fill out this applicant form or send an e-mail to lperez@case-az.org with your cellphone number and work background.

Job Responsibilities:

· Door to Door canvassing in residential areas

· Accurate tracking of voter contact data on a daily basis

Qualifications:

The canvasser position is an entry-level position. No experience with canvassing is necessary. Successful applicants, however, will have the following characteristics:

· Must have a valid drivers license (reliable transportation preferred)

· Punctual and reliable; Good communication skills; Outgoing personality; Enjoys meeting and talking to people; Energetic and enthusiastic; Committed to advancing immigrants' rights and workers' rights; Interested in/passionate about voting and civic participation

Terms of Employment

· The Community Canvasser position can be full-time or part-time. Full-time, however, is strongly preferred.  Full-time canvassers work 8 hours per day Saturday - Thursday at a variety of start- and end-times (9:00-5:00PM, 10:00-6:00PM, 11:00-7:00PM, 12:00-8:00PM, etc.).  Part-time canvasser work 8-hour shifts on Saturdays, Sundays, and two week days other than Fridays.

· The Community Canvasser position is available now until November 3, 2020. Canvassers with interest and demonstrated capacity will also have the opportunity for promotion to leadership positions on our canvass team.

Benefits:

- Pay: $18.00 per hour with overtime ($19.00 per hour for out-of-state hires)

- Transportation cost stipend (also reimbursements of cost of travel to and from Phoenix)

- Weekly food stipend

- High-quality housing in Phoenix with a single bedroom, one- to two-person bathroom, kitchen, and laundry (for out-of-state hires).

COVID-19 considerations:
To keep our canvassers safe, we will be providing testing, hand sanitizer, PPE as well as enforcing strict social distancing protocol endorsed by one of the nation's leading epidemiologists.
