About the Position
Reporting to the Director of Development the Senior Manager Individual Giving is responsible for overseeing the organization's major donor giving program for people with high giving capacity in New York State where we have the largest number of individual supporters and major donor prospects. WFP seeks to build a new multi-racial, feminist, and working-class political alignment in America. We believe middle class, owning class and wealthy people will benefit from stronger working class political power and have a role to play, including giving money, to help grow WFP.

Responsibilities include
- Manage overall strategy for building and running the project of prospecting, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding $5,000+ donors based in New York,
- Ensure that data on current and prospective donors is tracked, ensure that next steps are scheduled, and that contributions are received,
- Manage and grow the value of their own individual portfolio of current, lapsed and prospective major donors
- Advise the New York Director on major donor fundraising activity, including prioritization and schedule, and meeting prep and follow up,
- Ensure that current and prospective donors are on the WFP ladder of engagement as appropriate,
- Plan and execute cultivation and stewardship communications and programs and lead follow up, and
- Oversee prospect research as needed to identify and cultivate major gift and planned gift prospects in New York.
Key Qualifications
- Major donor program experience: Fluency with managing and growing individual donor program of at least $1M+ annually
- Detail oriented: Demonstrated commitment to maintaining thorough tracking systems where no detail falls through the cracks.
- New York connected: Someone with an interest in New York issues and politics, and some understanding of donor communities in New York.
- Mission alignment: Alignment with the Working Families vision to build a multi-racial, feminist, working class movement

We are building a team of highly talented people who understand how to win and to build, and can sit at the intersection of organizing, movement building and political strategy. We have a start-up mentality, meaning that we are actively innovating to meet the needs of our base and to scale our operation, while being committed to deep learning, tracking and evaluating our work. The position is full-time and remotely based anywhere in the United States during the current health crisis. When safe to travel, you can be based anywhere in NY State, though travel to NYC may be expected.
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $72,500 to $85,000 and will be adjusted based on an internal equitable scale that takes into consideration years of experience, geographic location, and final job description. We also offer a competitive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, and life insurance and matching contributions into a 401(k) retirement plan, plus paid holidays, sick time, and unlimited vacation.
