Borough Lead Job Description
Maya Wiley for Mayor is hiring full time Borough Leads to be part of the Mobilization Team and will be responsible for leading a team of organizers to build, motivate, and empower Team Maya throughout New York City. Borough Leads will report to the Organizing Director. Borough Leads will be expected to reside within New York City by February 1, 2021. This is a cycle position and there should be no assumption of employment upon the conclusion of the campaign.
Responsibilities include:
Manage a team of Organizers;
Provide daily trainings and implement quality control measures;
Empower Organizers to lead volunteers and supporters across the Borough;
Work closely with the data team to analyze metrics and track progress to goals
Other duties as assigned.
*All this work will be conducted in accordance with COVID safety guidelines and will be completed in a safe, healthy, and socially distanced way.
Qualifications:
1 - 2 cycles of experience in organizing or as a canvass lead
Ability to work in a high pressure environment, and meet tight timelines
Practice managing multiple competing priorities at the same time
Be willing and able to work long hours, including nights and weekends
Be creative and ready to try new things in a digital organizing environment
Passion for electing Maya Wiley to be the first woman Mayor of New York City
