CAMPAIGN MANAGER
Campaign Overview: Top tier New York City Council candidate in Manhattan is seeking campaign manager for progressive, grassroots campaign with a high emphasis on organizing and direct voter contact.
Job summary: This is a full-time position in an intense campaign environment. The campaign manager reports to the candidate and has bottom-line responsibility for all day-to-day aspects of the campaign, including fundraising, field & organizing, communications, scheduling, office management, budget tracking and compliance.
Responsibilities include:
Create and execute the campaign plan
Implement a robust fundraising program.
Ensure the campaign qualifies for the ballot
Hire, train and manage the campaign's field director and any other senior staff and selected consultants
Track and report progress on campaign goals for fundraising, political support and other key metrics
Monitor the campaign budget
Managing the candidate's schedule
Work with appropriate consultants to ensure compliance with all campaign finance laws
Oversee and ensure successful execution of local and state campaign press strategy.
Collaborate with consultants and other staff in targeting voters for contact in-person, by phone and by text message
Select the campaign's voter contact tools, including relational organizing tools
Establish a strong professional culture within the campaign focused on accountability, specific goals, innovation and sense of purpose
Any and all other aspects of managing a winning campaign
Qualifications:
At least two cycles of political campaign work, including at least one cycle in a senior staff capacity (manager, field director, comms director, finance director)
Strong knowledge of VAN
Strong knowledge of Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Supervisory experience
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong writing skills
A constructive winning attitude
Compensation: $4000-5000 a month, commensurate with experience.
