Elissa Slotkin for Congress is searching for a dedicated, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Finance Director for the 2022 election cycle. This position will have a start date of Feb 1, 2021 and will continue to November 30, 2022. During the off-year, the Finance Director's location is flexible (D.C. preferred). The Finance Director will be expected to relocate to Michigan's 8t h congressional district for the 2022 calendar year. This is a full-time, salaried position.
Responsibilities:
The Finance Director will be expected to:
Create and maintain the quarterly finance plan, monitoring progress-to-goal. Keep the Congresswoman, the finance team, and relevant outside partners updated via regular communication.
Provide day-to-day management of the finance team, including remote management of a Michigan-based Deputy and a part-time Digital Assistant.
Review and approve fundraising email copy and additional finance-related products prior to review by the Congresswoman.
Manage, from soup to nuts, the entire national fundraising portfolio. This includes regular communication with national hosts, bundlers, and partners to create a robust events and meetings schedule.
Staff the Congresswoman in D.C., including call time. During COVID-19, events will follow CDC guidelines and social distancing.
Oversee and manage all finance data and technology including: NGP, ActBlue, Google Drive, WarChest, and Twilio.
Provide strategic direction to PAC fundraiser to ensure campaign is maximizing raise from organized labor and issue-based PACs, trade associations, and Member funds. Elissa Slotkin for Congress is a no corporate PAC campaign.
- Interface with all partner organizations and vendors essential to financial success -- including PAC fundraising firm, compliance firm, digital fundraising vendor, and issue-based endorsers.
Qualifications:
At least one cycle of fundraising experience at the Finance Director level is required
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks at once and perform under deadlines required
Strong and professional interpersonal skills required
Proficiency in NGP, ActBlue, and Google Drive required
Hours and Compensation:
This is a full-time position and will require weekend work, both remote and in person work, and when national health conditions allow, you will be expected to frequently accompany the Congresswoman on national fundraising travel. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
