Job Description
As a Project Lead, you will be responsible for running point on the petitioning process for candidates throughout New York City. You will manage and train a team of canvassers to collect petition signatures to ensure candidates are able to appear on the ballot for 2021 Democratic primary. This is a wonderful opportunity for politically engaged New Yorkers to begin working professionally in our city's politics and shaping its future.

Responsibilities
Support with the hiring, training, scheduling, and management of canvassers.
Offering consistent coaching to petitioners during the shift and modeling best practices
Track daily schedules, payroll and submission of weekly timesheets
Assist and facilitate canvasser training and administrative work
Manage collection and quality control of all petitions and data
Ensure each canvasser has all of the materials they need to be safe and successful
Collect petitions during shift to supplement the full team's efforts
Qualifications
Registered Democrat in New York State (or willing and able to register as one)
Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends
Strong communications skills and the ability to work independently
Prior canvassing or customer service experience, ideally 1+ years
Experience leading diverse teams
Passion for electing community leaders to local elected office
Spanish fluency is a big plus
Compensation
$25 per hour alongside a travel subsidy. You should expect to work five days per week for 30-35 hours per week. Depending on our needs, we may be able to offer project leads an additional 5-10 hours of work per week.
