The newly re-elected Mayor of Richmond, VA, Levar M. Stoney, is seeking a full-time Finance Director (FD) for his leadership PAC, One Richmond PAC. The FD will work with the Executive Director to execute an aggressive fundraising strategy, build and manage relationships, plan events, and coordinate with local, state, and federal campaigns. This role is structured around opportunities for personal development, training, mentorship, and advancement. The FD will report to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities:
- Creating and managing a professional call-time program
- Soliciting contributions from high- and low-dollar donors on behalf of the principal
- Planning high-dollar and low-dollar events both in Virginia, around the country, and virtually
- Overseeing a digital fundraising program
- Managing a donor prospecting and research program
- Hiring, managing, and training finance staff, interns, and volunteers if applicable
- Any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
- Ability to multitask and strict attention to detail
- Hardworking and personally organized
- Ability to meet important deadlines with short notice and under pressure
- Willingness to work some nights and weekends
- Willingness to travel around Virginia and the country
- Collaboration: able to work in a team environment, but comfortable working alone without constant direction and feedback
- Valid driver's license
- Applicants with at least two cycles of campaign finance experience are strongly encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of Richmond and Virginia are a plus
Salary Range: $4,000-$5,500/month, commensurate with experience. Opportunities for raises.
