We are looking for a driven and experienced Freelance Political Data Analyst to conduct research and analysis on current policies and social events, and to report on their findings. You should be able to use qualitative and quantitative research methods to develop theories on the effectiveness, or lack thereof, of certain policies and laws.
Skills & Requirements
· Use statistical analysis to analyze research results.
· Research political subjects such as crime statistics
· Present research findings
· Interpret and analyze policies, public issues, legislation, or the operations of governments, businesses, and organizations
· Able to create stories and meaning from large groups of data
· Ability to chart and display data in compelling, easy to understand ways
· Collect data from public data sources
· Use statistical analysis to interpret research findings
· Evaluate the effects of policies and laws regarding public safety
Experience
· Motivated self starter
· Collaborative
· Proven work experience as a data analyst
· Solid experience with statistical analysis software and qualitative research tools
· Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
· Outstanding writing skills and ability to report on research findings clearly
· Current knowledge of current political climate, news and current affairs
