Lorie Honor for Staten Island Borough President seeks a Field Director.
Lorie Honor is a mother, third generation Union member, retired NYC public school teacher, and community activist. Lorie co-founded Staten Island Women who March, a progressive Women's group that has over 1,500 members. As its leader Lorie led, organized and/or participated in rallies and protest around every major issue of the day, Muslim Ban, I.C.E detentions and deportations, ICE, ACA, and more. In 2018 Lorie served as the Director of Community Outreach for the successful Max Rose for Congress campaign.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the campaigns petitioning program
- Manage Campaign field staff
- Executing a robust field and relational organizing program
- Ensuring that all in-person campaign activities are done in a COVID safe manner.
Qualifications:
- 2 cycles of field experience on campaigns
- Experience using digital platforms: Thrutalk/text, Hustle, OutVote, Reach etc.
- Proficiency in VAN
- Relational organizing experience
- Able to relocate to NYC
- NYC/NY Campaign experience
- Field management experience
- Experience using Reach
