As we continue to partner with clients who share this belief, we are growing our team to include a Training and Development Project Manager with a client services focus. The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter with excellent communication skills and experience in training program design. This position will be based in San Francisco, CA, Chicago, IL , or Washington DC, and might require some travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibility of the Training and Development Project Manager will be to provide coaching and counsel to 270 staff as they design and develop training programs for clients. He or she will also partner directly with training-forward clients to provide a range of services: everything from program design to content development to coaching and facilitation.


The Training and Development Project Manager's scope of work will include but not be limited to:

  • Coaching and providing feedback to 270 staff across departments on design for adult learning, content development, and facilitation best practices
  • Partnering with clients to design, develop, and facilitate innovative training programs
  • Managing training-only and training-forward client engagements
  • Designing and developing training tools to support training work done by the firm and our clients

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS


The ideal candidate will display an avid interest in pursuing creative and innovative training methods, and will have extensive experience in coaching, management, development of curriculum, and facilitation. He or she should demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, and should be well acquainted with principles of adult learning theory. Applicants should have a minimum of 4 years experience in management and coaching or training-focused roles on electoral campaigns, issue campaigns, or in a corporate environment.

  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Comfort and flexibility in working across multiple disciplines
  • Knowledge of fundamental design principles
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Foundational knowledge of grassroots organizing
  • A belief in the basic idea that organizing can change the world
