The Progressive Change Campaign Committee is hiring a Development Associate to join our team full time.
We are a fast-paced, aggressive, exciting organization. Every day brings different projects and different challenges. You should be highly driven, motivated, and organized. The Development Associate will help the PCCC build out the fundraising program for our PAC, 527, c4, and c3. This will include turning smaller grassroots donors into larger donors in addition to outreach to progressive foundations, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship:
Drive different donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship tactics while consistently evaluating the most effective approaches to building, maintaining, and growing long-term relationships with donors. This may take the form of running call-time programs, direct mail, one-on-one meetings, fundraising events, proactively flagging projects and organizational news that may be of interest to specific donors, and other forms of outreach. You will be responsible for putting together and executing clear and well-thought-out project plans and providing regular status reports.
Research:
You will need to prioritize thorough donor research so that outreach can have the most impact and to use the limited time resources of staff and co-founders most effectively. Identifying and profiling existing donors will be a major research priority. You may also need to regularly identify and profile new prospects as they relate to organizational activities and Co-Founder travel schedules.
Data maintenance/compliance:
You will also be responsible for maintaining a central donor database in NGP where you will track and evaluate metrics for outreach. You'll also be responsible for pulling and vetting lists. This means timely and regular data entry and syncing ActionKit and ActBlue databases.
The Development Associate will also support semi-annual compliance reporting in NGP and help reconcile NGP and QuickBooks records.
Strong applicants will have:
Progressive ideals and work history.
5 years of experience doing politically-oriented fundraising. Strong plus if experience includes both grassroots and foundation fundraising.
Experience tracking data in a relational database (CRM), preferably NGP.
Strong sense of strategy and ability to communicate -- since the ability to fundraise well entails the ability to describe our strategy well.
Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
Outside-the-box thinking.
Detail oriented, strong work ethic, and ability to work in virtual workplace.
Pay commensurate with experience. All full-time employees receive fully paid health benefits. Must be comfortable with long, irregular hours, occasional travel, and virtual work environment.
PCCC is an equal opportunity employer. Women, people of color, members of the LGBT community, and others are strongly encouraged to apply.
TO APPLY:
Please submit a cover letter and resume at http://act.boldprogressives.org/survey/ngot_PCCC_hiring/?src=bp-home#development. Your cover letter should indicate how you learned of the job opening and your salary history.
