About Us: Democratic GAIN is a national membership association for progressive political professionals and organizations. Since our creation in 2003, we have built and grown an infrastructure that supports and connects our members across the country. Our members – both individuals and organizations – receive access to our premier job board and resume bank, a wide range of career support services, professional development trainings, events and other networking opportunities, and additional unique benefits.
About the Fellowship: We are seeking an enthusiastic, digitally-savvy Fellow to join Team GAIN! If the idea of working on exciting projects in the progressive organizing space interests you, this could be a great fit!
As a GAIN Fellow, you will :
Help us staff events and trainings (as needed).
Provide administrative support with research, database management, list maintenance and data entry, among other tasks.
Help us maintain our website, Twitter and Facebook accounts and jobs boards.
Get the opportunity to train with organizing professionals.
Get access to Career Fairs and other trainings that can help you land your next step!
Preferred skills/qualifications:
Sharp writing and editing skills - you can spot a typo a mile away.
Graphic design skills (i.e. Photoshop or Adobe Suite) - Not required but a plus.
Ability to work independently/in a virtual office space.
Current college student or recent grad.
Compensation:
A modest stipend will be provided, as well as the opportunity for academic credit.
