Then, this may be the job for you!   Greenpeace is currently searching for the right individual who will lead the way in creating and fostering an inclusive culture. This individual will collaborate with other staff members and support Greenpeace USA's transformation to a learning organization. The Senior Organizational Learning Specialist will increase the capability of employees and managers through the delivery and administration of learning, performance management, and other organizational development initiatives. They will facilitate and expand existing training programs, track training statistics to ensure compliance, and develop effectiveness assessments.   Additionally, they will recommend and assist in the development and delivery of new training programs to foster professional growth and development. Finally, this person will regularly work with external vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure the learning and development needs of the organization are consistently met.


Responsibilities:
  1. Organizational Development, Performance Management Administration, and Internal Consulting.
  • Develop, implement, and champion strategies to support organizational capabilities and objectives.
  • Manage the configuration and administration of the performance management system. Lead roll-out of the performance management process for the entire employee population.
  • Partner with managers in setting goals and objectives
  • Accurately account for e-Learning initiative participation and completion.
  • Manage learning initiatives through continuous, expert use of the ADDIE method.
  • In partnership with senior management, perform cost-benefit analyses and continuously monitor and evaluate ROI of programs.
  • Perform needs analyses in order to proactively recommend strategies that facilitate the achievement of additional organizational learning and development success.
  • Partner with Greenpeace USA's OMT and Senior Leadership to establish a comprehensive and diverse learning and development strategy.
  • Report participation rates and details for any training initiatives.

 

  1. Administer, facilitate, and conduct existing training programs.
  • Lead or support the coordination of training across different departments and programs while sharing best practices across the organization
  • Facilitate and conduct organizational training programs.
  • Assist Greenpeace teams/departments with training technology.
  • Maintain annual HR training calendar, source presenters and assist in providing timely, interesting, and valuable topics.

 

 

  1. Develop strategic staff development and training programs.
  • Lead, establish, and/or participate in the development, marketing and rollout of creative and impactful company-wide training programs, and curriculum for Diversity and Inclusion, Management, and other organizational programs.
  • Serve as resource for departments and teams requesting assistance in creating or delivering department specific training.
  • Integrate organizational development content in foundational manager and employee training.
  • Coordinate and plan training workshops.
  • Revise and/or re-develop existing training programs.

 

  1. Relationship management and communication of training requirements.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors and external training partners.
  • Coordinate and liaise on diversity and inclusion with other Greenpeace National and Regional Offices, and allied organizations.
  • Communicate training requirements and ensure compliance.

 

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Participate in task force and committees as required.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Communications, Organizational Development or related field. Master's degree preferred.

 

Experience:

  • 5-7 years of relevant HR, Diversity, and/or training experience
  • Non-profit experience a plus

  • Proficient with and regularly applies concepts of ADDIE
  • Knowledge of training and organizational development theory and practice
  • Values diversity and models/promotes inclusion
  • Models emotional intelligence including self management
  • Identification with Greenpeace goals and supportive of Greenpeace values
  • Positive, energetic, and promotes organizational culture
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact with all levels within the organization with professionalism and integrity
  • Detail oriented, administratively strong
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

 

Travel Required:

  • ≤15% travel required for conference assistance, remote trainings, etc.

 

Hours Required:

  • Full time, regular
