Jay Inslee for Washington: Operations Manager
Jay Inslee for Washington is looking for a motivated individual to be the Operations Manager. We need someone who is willing to work hard and commit themselves to reelecting our Governor, Jay Inslee.
Operations Manager responsibilities include:
The Operations Manager will oversee all systems of the campaign headquarters, provide operational support to the staff and Governor Inslee, and assure the headquarters is functioning daily. It is critical that the Operations Manager is detail-oriented and has the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Specifically, you will:
· Manage basic office administration including setting up and maintaining technical and office infrastructure, coordinating the operational needs with other campaigns at headquarters, managing the campaign's database, supporting existing staff, and overseeing the onboarding process of new hires as they join the team
· Manage the Governor's political schedule by responding to requests for Governor Inslee's time, securing details about events Governor Inslee will attend, and preparing briefing materials for all campaign related meetings
· Respond to all requests from constituents about the Governor Inslee's positions, availability for events, and requests to volunteer
· Manage volunteer resources by identifying what volunteers are interested in doing, getting them plugged into the campaign, and supporting them when they're volunteering
· Other duties as assigned
Skills and requirements:
· Desire to make difference and reelect Jay Inslee as Washington's governor
· Attention to detail and outstanding verbal, written and leadership skills
· Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet established deadlines
· Ability to work well and creatively under tight timelines, in a team environment and independently
· Good judgment, ability to manage sensitive political situations, and highly personable
· Experience working with Word, Excel, and Microsoft 365
· Basic communication networking and computer hardware knowledge
· Experience working with community organizations, advocacy groups, political campaigns and/or elected official is a plus
This isn't a clock-in, clock-out sort of job. We're looking for someone who is willing to go the extra mile to make the difference. You will be expected to work on some evenings and weekends.
