Democratic State Representative Margaret Kaiser is putting together a campaign team to run for Mayor of Atlanta and is hiring Campaign Fundraising Staff. Incumbent Mayor Kasim Reed is term-limited and cannot seek re-election in 2017.
Margaret Denson Kaiser represents one of the most diverse, expansive, and exciting districts in Georgia. She was born in Athens, where her mother currently serves as Mayor. Margaret moved to Atlanta to attend Emory University and has lived in the city ever since. She is a businesswoman and owns several restaurants throughout the city. Among her many accomplishments, she is a recipient of the 2011 Environmental Leadership Award and received a certificate in Health Policy from Georgia State University Andrew Young School. In the Legislature, Margaret currently serves on the Agriculture, Appropriations, Education and Health and Human Services Committees.
Prior campaign and fundraising experience is not required for this position. This job would be an excellent opportunity for recent college/law school graduates and others who are interested in pursuing a career in politics or looking for a once in a lifetime experience.
Responsibilities include:
• Traveling and working directly with the Candidate
• Organizing and coordinating fundraising events
• Compiling and analyzing data, research
• Developing and implementing strategic plans
