[jobsthatareLEFT] San Francisco Board of Supervisors Campaign Leadership Position

Outreach Fellow

Engardio for District 7 Supervisor is seeking capable and energetic candidates to lead outreach and field efforts.

Joel Engardio is an awardwinning journalist, commonsense Democrat, and longtime community activist running to represent District 7 in San Francisco's legislature. District 7, comprised mostly of the West of Twin Peaks area of San Francisco, has many beautiful neighborhoods and stunning views of the ocean and skyline. Mostly inhabited by families, it is a bit quieter than the loud and bustling east side. Long thought as one of the most conservative districts in San Francisco, District 7 is undergoing major demographic changes and is heading in a new ideological direction. Joel has the fresh ideas, independent voice, and responsive style of leadership that are badly needed in City Hall.

The position is located in San Francisco and will last through Election Day: November 8th, 2016. Fellows will gain highlevel campaign management experience that they would not get in a larger organization. Fellows will also make valuable connections in the exciting world of San Francisco politics.

Reporting directly to the Campaign Manager, the Outreach Fellow will:

  • ●  Take ownership over all ontheground campaign activities

  • ●  Staff the candidate at campaign and community events

  • ●  Attend community events and engage with voters in public settings

  • ●  Run our field campaign: recruit and manage a team of volunteers to knock on doors and make

phone calls throughout the summer and in the runup to Election Day

  • ●  Assist in the organization and management of campaign events

  • ●  Work with the Campaign Manager to acquire and produce content for advertising, including social

    media

  • ●  Advise the candidate and Campaign Manager on matters of messaging, strategy, and operations

    Required qualifications:

  • ●  Energy, passion, and a desire to dive headfirst into a heated and competitive election campaign

  • ●  Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

  • ●  The ability to selfmotivate and consistently meet goals with little supervision

  • ●  The ability to work long hours, including nights and weekends

    Optional qualifications:

  • ●  Campaign or other organizing experience

  • ●  Familiarity with San Francisco politics

    Compensation

Fellow will receive a monthly stipend
