Team Overview
The Elected Leadership team is responsible for inspiring, developing and supporting our members to effectively pursue elected office as a path to help kids and their community. This position reports to the Senior Director of Candidate Development.

Position Summary
The Elected Leadership team is hiring temporary support for a term expected to last three months. This temporary position will provide administrative and operational support for the Elected Leadership team. They will be responsible for managing data entry and accounting of contributions and expenditures in NGP. They will manage the processing and payments of invoices for the Elected Leadership team, as well as aggregate and enter expenses into Quickbooks. This person will also be responsible for developing and maintaining a schedule of campaign compliance deadlines.  

This role requires exceptional attention to detail and an ability to create systems and document best practices to ensure we are constantly improving. Time management and an ability to juggle competing priorities are essential.  This person must exercise strong judgment in responding to questions and problem solving for other team members as needed. This role is an excellent opportunity to hone professional skills, build political campaign knowledge and grow your network in the education community.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • 1 - 2 years of previous work experience
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects with diverse stakeholders and tight deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information and materials
  • Entrepreneurial and ability to easily adapt to innovations and changes in policies and procedures
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders 
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with team members in a geographically dispersed environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • NGP VAN, Quickbooks, and Salesforce experience a plus
  • Prior experience working in campaigns or with elected leaders

Benefits and Salary
Hourly pay is competitive and based on experience.  Benefits are not included.
