A gun violence prevention organization is looking to hire a part-time digital staffer and community manager. The job will be approximately 10-15 hours per week, on a salaried basis.
Primary job responsibilities include:
Writing social media posts, website copy, emails, and other digital-based content
Email design and production
Graphic design and production
Website management and social media community engagement
Maintaining a content calendar in coordination with both internal staff and consultants
Participate in staff and consultant calls
The ideal candidate has experience with the following:
2-3 years of nonprofit, political, or campaign experience
Social media management and writing, including meticulous proof-reading skills
Advocacy mailers (such as Blue State Digital, EveryAction, Salsa, or NationBuilder)
Email writing and production
Basic HTML/CSS skills
Graphic design / Adobe Creative Suite
Simple video editing with iMovie or Final Cut Pro (preferred)
This is a part-time position, with an expected salary range of $20,000-$25,000 per year. Preference is for DC-based applicants, but willing to consider remote for the right person.
