A gun violence prevention organization is looking to hire a part-time digital staffer and community manager. The job will be approximately 10-15 hours per week, on a salaried basis.


Primary job responsibilities include:


  • Writing social media posts, website copy, emails, and other digital-based content

  • Email design and production

  • Graphic design and production

  • Website management and social media community engagement

  • Maintaining a content calendar in coordination with both internal staff and consultants

  • Participate in staff and consultant calls


The ideal candidate has experience with the following:


  • 2-3 years of nonprofit, political, or campaign experience

  • Social media management and writing, including meticulous proof-reading skills

  • Advocacy mailers (such as Blue State Digital, EveryAction, Salsa, or NationBuilder)

  • Email writing and production

  • Basic HTML/CSS skills

  • Graphic design / Adobe Creative Suite

  • Simple video editing with iMovie or Final Cut Pro (preferred)


This is a part-time position, with an expected salary range of $20,000-$25,000 per year. Preference is for DC-based applicants, but willing to consider remote for the right person.
