Position: Finance Director
Reports to: ADLCC Director
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience, health care and vision insurance.
The Arizona Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (ADLCC) is seeking a Finance Director for the 2018 election cycle. ADLCC serves as the only organization in the state whose sole purpose is to elect Democrats to the AZ State House and Senate. As a growing program, we are working to gain Democratic majorities in both chambers and listed as a DLCC top 15 states to watch.
Individuals interested must be willing to relocate to the Phoenix area, work flexible campaign-like hours, have a good sense of humor, and be dedicated to working for legislative candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute strategic statewide finance plan which includes events, legislator call time, low-dollar online solicitations and direct mail
- Manage legislator call time and other activities to hit goals and deadlines
- Execute and manage donor research and expand new donor networks
- Train and supervise staff put on targeted races, interns and volunteers
- Oversee planning and execution of large scale lobbyist events as well as regional mid-sized events
- Communicate with staff members, elected officials, campaign staff, vendors and various consultants
- Manage follow up on all correspondence and pledges
- Work with various legislators across the state to set and meet fundraising goals and deadlines
- Assist with campaign compliance questions from targeted and non-targeted races
- Manage NGP donor database
- Help Leadership manage large donor conversations with major national funders
Qualifications:
- One to three cycles of campaign finance experience
- Must have event planning experience
- Experience managing staff preferred
- Knowledge of NGP and Excel
- Must have strong written and communication skills
- Working knowledge of state campaign finance law
- Donor prospecting and research experience preferred
- Prior experience with targeting contributors and follow up management
- Excellent attention to detail and highly organized
- Time management skills are a must
- Must be flexible with good sense of humor
