National progressive organizing group is hiring a National Canvass Director to oversee and expand national network of canvass offices raising money and building membership on behalf of progressive organizations and charities. The National Canvass Director is bottom-line responsible for ensuring that our field offices are meeting and exceeding fundraising goals, performing at full potential, and providing the highest quality representation of our partner groups. The National Canvass Director is part of the senior management team.
Responsibilities
· Oversee 25-35 field offices with an eye towards expansion to 40-50
· Recruit, train and supervise regional canvass directors and canvass directors
· Meet and surpass fundraising goals for partner groups
· Maximize performance of outreach offices and quality of outreach
· Analyze Metrics, Identify Growth Potential and Report Vigorously
Qualifications: Strong management, organizational and communication skills are required, given the geographical diffusion of field offices. This position also requires a strong work ethic, a desire for political change, and ability to work within a team. Prior supervisory experience required. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience working in some combination of campaign management and fundraising.
Geography: Boston, MA or Washington, D.C.
Start: Immediately, or up to 1-2 months
