CFED is currently engaged in a number of learning, research and technical assistance projects to help expand financial inclusion and capability for low-income taxpayers and promote innovations in the tax preparation and asset-building fields. We seek a Graduate Student Intern to support CFED's leadership in this work with our Field Engagement & Savings and Financial Capability teams. Together, these teams are working to identify, test and scale promising practices for increasing financial well-being of low-income taxpayers around the filing season. Essential Functions/Duties
- Provide administrative, logistic, and project support on various projects that explore financial capability integration efforts and opportunities at tax time
- Help capture and coordinate lessons learned and deliverables of projects across CFED focusing on tax time financial capability
- Draft and edit external resources to support the field of community tax preparation and integration of financial capability

Requirements
- Strong commitment to the mission of CFED and the economic advancement of low‐ and moderate‐income families and individuals.
- Current (or completed) Master's degree or higher student in social work, social science, political science, public policy, or related major
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable managing data in Excel
- Experience engaging external experts to solicit data and/or advice
- Strong and efficient writer
- Experience with free tax preparation programs preferred
