Field Organizer
A targeted red-to-blue New York congressional campaign seeks full time organizers to join our team. This is a highly competitive race with a progressive candidate and is one of the DCCC's top races this cycle. Field organizers are responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, tenacious individuals with a passion for advancing the progressive agenda who love to meet people.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
Recruiting and managing volunteers
Training volunteers both one-on-one and in group settings
Building and managing both canvassing and phone banking events
Persuading voters to vote for the candidate
Representing the campaign at events
Meeting weekly voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals
Skills/Qualifications
Exceptional problem solving skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
A love of organizing, politics, and people
The ability to work both individually and with a team
Prior organizing experience is desired but not required
The willingness to work long, irregular hours
Access to a working car, laptop, and cellphone
