A southwest gubernatorial is looking to hire a Field Director.
Overview: A southwest gubernatorial campaign is seeking a highly motivated and aggressive Field Director. The Field Director will work with the Campaign Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive Field Plan focused on aggressive grassroots organizing.The Field Director should be detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and willing to work long hours.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and build support across key constituencies.
- Mobilize volunteers, work with community stakeholders and elected officials to create successful community events for the candidate.
- Oversee ballot access program (nomination petitions).
- Hire and train field organizers.
- Keep current supporters from elected officials to labor allies to grassroots activists up to date on the campaign's message and operation.
- Work with the Communications Director and Campaign Manager to develop a network of validators and surrogates across key constituencies and assist with earned media opportunities.
- Work with community stakeholders and elected officials to create successful community events for the candidate
- Work with allied campaigns and organizations to plan and execute events.
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Ability to build relationships across a diverse set of constituencies.
- Experience working collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and willing to work campaign hours, including nights and weekends with some travel.
- Experience with VoteBuilder/VAN.
- At least two cycles of campaign experience, prior management experience preferred.
- Must have access to a vehicle and willing to work campaign hours. Extensive travel is to be expected.
- Arizona experience is a plus.
