Friends of Andrew Friedson is looking for energetic, competitive interns to join our growing campaign team. Those selected will assist our campaign manager and field team with all voter targeting and outreach efforts, helping ensure we are victorious on June 26th, 2018 (MD Primary Election Day). This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to see a local campaign up close and learn the inner workings of a competitive race with a sophisticated electorate. Responsibilities & Activities
- Canvassing
- Phone banking
- Communications
- Recruiting and training volunteers to participate in all direct voter contact activities
- Preparing canvas walk maps and scripts for all volunteers
- Staffing fundraisers, meet and greets, and candidate forums
- Data Entry and analytics
- Representing the campaign at events
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully relate to voters and volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
- Ability to work long and irregular hours in a fast paced, metrics driven work environment.
- Ideal to have reliable access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license.
- Ties or experience in Montgomery County, MD is a plus but not a requirement
