Political Client Finance Associate
Do you thrive on the rush of a campaign headquarters but would rather not move across the country? Do you have political finance experience and want to help progressive candidates & campaigns in 2018? Sage Media Planning & Placement is seeking an organized, detailed oriented and multi-tasking Client Finance Associate for the campaign season (through November 2018). We are a Democratic firm with decades of expertise at all levels of political campaigns, from small mayoral races to national Super PACs.
The Client Finance Associate will support the Client Finance Director with managing cash flow and vendor payments for our political media clients.
Desired Experience & Abilities:
- Experience in maintaining day-to-day financial accounts strongly preferred
- Excel proficiency required, QuickBooks experience preferred
- Political campaign fundraising, campaign finance, or compliance experience preferred
- Aptitude and experience with maintaining organized client finance files
- College degree required
- Excellent verbal and writing ability, skilled at communicating with clients in a professional manner
· Ability to maintain effectiveness in a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial information with discretion
- Proven multi-tasking ability
- Highly organized, able to maintain meticulous records
- Detail oriented – proven ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
Job Duties (including but not limited to):
- Maintain / track political client payables & receivables in QuickBooks and bank accounts
- Campaign invoicing and invoice tracking
- Create and send political media payments
- Maintain payment files for media outlets
- Manage e-payment records and shipping charges
- Assist with political client finance reconciliation
- Assist Client Finance Director as necessary
