The Strategy Group is hiring Production Assistants to work in our Washington, DC office. This is a temporary position running through Election Day 2018. 

 

About You

 

You love a lot of moving pieces and can manage multiple projects at any given time. You love checking things off your list and finding creative ways to get things done. Above all, you have an enthusiasm for progressive politics and electing Democrats at all levels of the ballot.

 

You are organized, self-motivated and able to complete projects both individually and as a part of a team. You have the ability and willingness to take on and complete large, complex projects that require significant time investment as well as a number of smaller, more administrative tasks.

About the Position

Production Assistants are responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Overseeing the "production process" for direct mail pieces and ensuring they are designed, produced, and delivered on schedule
  • Working with clients, senior staff and designers to ensure that design edits are made in a timely – and accurate – manner
  • Serving as a liaison with company vendors, including graphic designers, printers, and photographers
  • Collection and formatting of election results and other electoral data.
  • Assisting staff with writing and formatting of mail plans, prospective client pitches and other presentations.
  • Ad-hoc research projects.
  • Basic office administration tasks.

Requirements

  • Strong work ethic.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Commitment to progressive causes, ideas and leaders.
  • Past history working with progressive political campaign or cause (volunteering counts!)
  • Mac OS X proficient.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Powerpoint, Excel, Word).

Desired Qualifications (encouraged but not required)

  • Familiarity with Prezi
  • Experience working on or interfacing with political campaigns
  • Experience using VoteBuilder.
